Re: She's Doing Me (With Her Clothes On) R&B
Hey suprafly, i see you ended the thread.... Probly a bit overwhelming for the first one here..! I guess ill save my points and wait for the revision. You got a good start going here. What part of chicago you in? My sister moved to chicago last year for a nursing job at the childrens hospital, she has a house out in lincoln park...Anywhere near? Take care, JamieO, and IG88, there is a big difference between 'heated debate' --- Something like---> "Maybe so, but all electronica has it's roots in dance music, follow the evolution and you can trace it back through techno, back to house, and back to yikes "disco". Tricky, Portishead, DJ Shadow, whatever. Seriously, what do you think DJs are spinning at raves and underground clubs? It's music to dance to - whether it's Jungle, Trip-Hop, Breakbeat, Ambient, or Chill. "And just being dumb. (If you feel the need to debate my use of this term, well here is 'one' clarification for you of my intended use. ("adjective 1. chiefly offensive (of a person) unable to speak,") Something like ----> "Are you serious? This is so wack, the vocals are dry and distant and it sounds like Luther Vandross meets michael jackson over boring production. Is this supposed to be R&B? Haha umm i guess the lyrics are so stupid and cliche that common american people would gobble it up but you need some solid production first. Do you do any of the things you write about? You have an approach i will give you that."Luckily, suprafly has the right attitude..... There are others here that arent as tolerant to ignorance and thoughtless speech. ;-O Just take it easy, apply some tact to your posts, you should be alright..

Oh and thanks for making sure that you sprinkled in your thoughts. Even though Cisko and I already established that it was a nice discussion. Seeing as the person who started the thread had no problem with my honesty, maybe you shouldnt fire until you see the whites of their eyes.

Re: She's Doing Me (With Her Clothes On) R&B
{sigh} Their was this loud mouthed individual i was trying to work with recently. Not by choice. I told her that she was being very difficult to work with because she had to argue with darn near everything i said. She took offense and retorted back with, "well, i DON'T argue with everything you say!" I smiled and said, case in point. She shook her head and said, "whatever.."Look sparky, -->Quote:"Just take it easy, apply some tact to your posts, you should be alright.."..is the only opinion i shared, period. Quote:"I do apologize for my "inability to speak" I believe its a foreign dialect called honesty. Oh and thanks for making sure that you sprinkled in your thoughts. Even though Cisko and I already established that it was a nice discussion. "The senseless comments you made, in your 'public' discussion.... Prompted my response.Everything might seem "fine" in your mind, but when you make public statements that offend other people, they usually feel 'fine' with "sprinkling" their thoughts in. Don't appreciate the smug sarcasm though.Quote:Seeing as the person who started the thread had no problem with my honesty, maybe you shouldnt fire until you see the whites of their eyes.Trust me bud...If i fired, you'd know it. Or probly more accurately, you'd never know it.. Edit: Sorry Geo.

But tell us how you REALLY feel, Geo... I find that the best thing to do at times like this (it helps me keep from continuing some debate that doesn't mean a hill o' beans anyway), is go to another thread and review someone's music, give some advice, etc... The more constructive things that take place, the better. So... I'll go as soon as I have some time to where maybe I can help someone. Casey

I just got it, I was wondering where you were To Jamie and Todd.... sorry if anyone got the impression my rant was aimed at anyone in particular... it's not... more of something that's been building... I've let my feelings be known before albeit more tactfully but to be honest the last dust up on wta's thread was it for me. So please.... everyone.... let's move on.... Peace, Geo

Oh man, what a first post I have created .Southpaw, I'm in Irving Park (a little N/W of your sister) very close to Lincoln Park.I know that I've tried to close this thread, but people still have opinions to voice. Feel free. I believe this is why these forums were created. People, please don't take things personal. I don't.I've been in law enforcement here in Chicago for the last 20 years. If I took things personal, I would have never made it on the job .Lastly, when I posted this I also submitted for a custom critic at the same time. If you would like to know what the critic says, feel free to email me. I don't know if I should post it here. Don't want to add fuel to the fire. Thanks.
