First Country Forward

Post by timmerblakely » Mon Apr 07, 2008 4:23 pm

I'm sorry I haven't been around to congratulate all of you on all of your forwards lately. I have been swamped. I am just too excited about this one to not post.CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY SONGS needed by a Nashville producer for three new male Country artists a la Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, etc. Focus on smart lyrics, as opposed to cliches. Uptempo is preferable, but all tempos will be considered as long as the tone is "rockin' Country". Please submit 2-3 songs online or per CD. Submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received by Mar. 10, 2008. TAXI #S080310CORunning the Red Light In My Headhttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=106507&stream=1I don't know if this listing qualifies as one of the "high bar" country listings that i read about so often so i don't know if my excitement is disproportionate but it's a forward and that's enough to help maintain my motivation. And besides, perception is reality, right?Timmer

Congrats Timmer!! From what I understand, not many get a chance to hop over the "country forwards fence". Nicely done...and I like how the song ending comes back after it gets quiet. Here's hoping your song sees nothing but GREEN lights between here and one of those three artists!!!

Thank you all very much. Credit where credit due, i brought in a good friend and regional ringer on guitar, Shawn O'Connor, and hired out the keys and vocals to a few other friends. Shawn also did a lot of the engineering, mixing, and arranging. Timmer
