*Is this classed as Alt-rock? I'm not really sure of the terminology in America

It seems no one wants to listen to this, but here are the lyrics anyway ONE NOT TWOI was once uncertain,You were once not here,She was once not good for me,And I had no idea,The two of us have turned things round,And I thank God for what I’ve found,And there’s no way I could ever get scared,Whatever the reason you couldn’t be there,I know you’re wishing I was there with you, Wherever you are, I know you’ll think of me tooIt’s all because we’re one, not two,So you’re the one I’ve been missing,You’re the one I need,I’m putting my trust into something,Something more than me,Lately I can sleep at night,Knowing that you’ll be alright,The two of us have turned things round,And I thank God for what I’ve found,And there’s no way I could ever get scared,Whatever the reason you couldn’t be there,I know you’re wishing I was there with you, Wherever you are, I know you’ll think of me tooSo hold on, hold on,To what we’ve got going on,It’s all because we’re one, not two.

I'll listen Tim! Nice track.Easy listening.Production sounds good to me.Don't know about Alt Rock. I get lost with all the genres.I don't know what it is, but I'm getting a nasty click at00:04, 00:12, 00:20. In fact there are quite a few, so I won't listthem all. I can't make out what it is on my computer speakers, but it's there. Seems to be mainly at the beginning of verses.Good structure. Nice chorus and bridge.I think it all holds together well.Good work!Dave.
I put the kettle on, it didn't suit me.

Tim,Really nice production, drums and vocals especially. I noticed some distortion on the acoustic guitar during the intro, and actually all the way through I thought maybe I was hearing a little digital distortion on the guitar tracks. I can't say I felt the presence of a huge melodic or lyrical hook, but I write mostly country and it may be just fine for your genre. All in all though, nice work and a very professional result.Cam

Nice production! I don't think I would classify this song as Alt Rock or Indie Pop. I felt it more to be straight pop/rock. If you are aiming for pop listings, you need a stronger "Hook" in the chorus. Otherwise I thought it sounded very good!

Cheers guys, I will check over those clicks that you're hearing, I think it's just guitar 'noise' on the frets etc. Thanks again,Tim
