Well, I'm no expert on this subject, but it sounds a little industrial to my ears! What do you want to use it for? If your target is industrial for movies etcetera, I would suggest more elements of surprise. The first song had a nice dynamic to it, but you might want to add some "hits" here and there.

Hey Orest, There is a listing due on Wednesday looking for Apocalyptic/Industrial music. I'm not really sure what that means exactly, but was thinking about submitting this. Not 100% sure what you mean by more hits. Thanks for listening,B

Industrialhttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=215709&stream=true- definitely. A really good track. I have some thoughts, take them or leave them. Nice use of industrial sounds to create the percussion. The big 'shlah' sound might be just a tad too forward in the mix. I wanted the bass to come forward a little. I liked the B section when it came in, it felt a little late to me, I think you could add just another synth or something a little earlier, over your cool bedtrack, to just pull us along a little. Just what I'd do, is all.

Hey Vikki,Thanks for the feedback. I'll give it a remix with your suggestions to check it out. I've actually been fighting "The big 'shlah'" sound since the beginning. I've tried a million eq and plug in's on it and still can't quite get it to sit where I want it to. But it probably is a bit too forward. Thanks for the feedback,B

If it was me I'd:pan it sectionally - like every second time, it pans to the R. Make both R & L far from centre.reduce the volume on it a bit, and then balance everything else against it. Bring the bass & drums up a bit.and I'd add another piece of ear candy once that basic rythm pattern is extablished. Something with a higher frequency.let me know if you rework it - I'd like to hear it again

Hi! What I mean about "hits" is that you can throw in a surprise here and there. Maybe hit a bass drum or something to make it more, well, surprising . This is if you are going for a film/TV/video game listing though, I have learned from the screeners that the industry likes surprises. If you listen to CSI music (just one example) they are really good at different movements throughout the songs in the background. I think the song is really great, and it has a lot of potential! Hope this clarifies a little? Just me and my thoughts!

Hey Bryan,Personally I think this is a little tame for Apocalyptic/Industrial.Of course we never know what the screener will forward, but to me Industrial ala Nine Inch Nails utilizes lots of distortion on the drums and bass for instance and compression/limiting to really give it a hard, aggressive quality.JMO.

Ohhh, is that what that means?? If that's the case, this definitely isn't apocalyptic/Industrial. They didn't give any references, so I wasn't sure what they are looking for. I may still submit it, just to see what happens. B

Great track but I don't think it's Industrial enough... More heavy guitars n distort the drums... warp it up yea...
