Re: Am I industrial?
Ok, seems like we need more distorted guitars and drums. Easy greasy, we'll see what I can come up with by Wednesday. Thanks everyone for the feedback!B

Re: Am I industrial?
I just tried adding some guitars and remixing this again. I submitted it but believe I have at least a couple of more days to finish it up and submit a final copy. Is it getting better, or worse?Industrialhttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=2157 ... anfusilier

Re: Am I industrial?
Much better Bryan... I have a suggestion if U don't mind... The part where the guitarish synths come in... U may wanna go full on distortion on Ur snares... Just distort the hell out of em... for at least 8 bars yea... I imagine hearing that when I was listening to this track... & I listen to a lot of industrial music. Hope it helps...-K

At :45 I wanted the guitars to be a little more forward in the mix. I think the beginning is much stronger. I'd work the ending so it's a little more of button. I really like it. I would just run it through and decide in each section, what is going to be the lead sound that pulls the ear & pan everything so all sounds have space in the mix. for me the whole thing takes off at about :42. this is just my opinion, mind you. I think you're getting close.

Re: Am I industrial?
I don't have much expertise in the industrial genre, but I did listen to your first version of the track and just now listened to the newer version. You're definitely on the right track B! I'd also say that after listening to some of Kel's tracks, anything he has to offer in terms of advice on industrial, you should listen to him! He definitely knows what's going on in the industrial world.- Big Blue

Re: Am I industrial?
Oh Big B,I'm just listening to it again after giving my ears a rest and my throat a whistle for a few hours. I can finally here what this thing is supposed to really do. I kind of thought I was close to being done, but I think this is just a sketch of what it needs to be. Nice having a sounding board out there. Thanks again to everyone who helped out.B

Re: Am I industrial?
So Kel, I tried the distorting the snare thing you suggested and it was right on the money. Much better! I've posted one last mix, it's time to move on to other things. But thanks again for all the help from out there. And Kel, since you've got this so dialed in, could you send me a laundry list of essential listening (industrial bands) that I should have in my collection? Who do you think is doing the best industrial out there?B
