My MySpace Profile Is Finally Up! Woo Hoo!!!

Post by pitterpatter » Sat Feb 21, 2009 6:04 am

I've been hanging around Taxi since 2006 and I haven't had any official song demos posted until now because demos are bloody expensive. Please go to: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... =438171374 and check them out. I'm singing "I want to go home" and "Christmas" so if you going to be cruel about the vocals, pick another song. If you don't like my songs, hopefully my pics will at least give you a chuckle. Thanks.

You look a lot like a cat... Nice songs for a feline...

Hey, Angelica. Amazing that the "pitterpatter" of the cat on the keyboard made all that music! Why so expensive, though? Is there some feline musicians union with really high rates?I listened to "I Want to Go Home" and "Christmas", but both cut off before ending and switched to another song. What I heard of Christmas sounded really melodic and heartfelt.Vince

I really like your music Angelica. So how did you get the music player to display on your myspace page? I couldn't see how to upload music. Myspace is about the most user unfriendly site I've ever seen. I have no idea how it became so popular.Cam

Lovely, lovely, lovely.I Want to Go Home is a pretty song. Like your voice. Smooth.I'm with Cam. HOW do you do that? How do you get the player there, too?I was just about to upload some of my (vocal only) songs as video files - wmv. Myspace has an opening for that. But your way seems much cooler.

Hi Cam and LyricBoy:To upload a song, from your profile page, select profile from the drop down menu at the top and select edit profile. Then select Manage Featured songs. However, if you haven't featured a song yet, you'll need to look for any link at all that says 'Upload Song." On the next page with heading ;Edit Artist Profile', look for any link that lets you upload a song. On my page it just says 'add a song' If you select this just follow through instructions, browse your computer for the tune and then upload it. If these instructions don't help just keep looking for any link that says upload songs. Hopefully, you'll find it eventually.Casey: You may be wondering why I have posted pictures of cats. The answer is simple. The cats are better looking and more entertaining than me. LOL Thanks everyone for you kind comments. Andy: My songwriting teacher here in Ottawa thought that I should demo "Christmas, It's Just like Heaven." The first draft was a heavy metal version called, "Christmas, It's Just Like Hell" based more on reality but it was way too depressing. I'm glad to hear that you liked it. Ideascapes: I don't know why the songs cut off. It seems to be playing well for everyone but you. Do you ever feel like Murphy's law applies more to you than other people? lol Yes. Those feline musicians are very crafty. They pounce on money like cats on mice. I'd throw a hissy fit if I thought I could persuade them to give me a better deal.

LyricBoy, I finally figured out that it has to be an "artist" account, not regular myspace account. If you have one already you have to cancel it and sign up again as an artist. Maybe there's some other way, but that's what I know. When you get to the sign-up page you'll see on the right side of the page there is a place for "musician". If you sign up as musician you get the player on your page automatically.Cam
