Me thinks there might something even greater that can happen that's not under your control, if you allow for it!! Yay for you! I already see it happening!!!! Damn kid, six months!?!!? Go for it though, I'm rooting you on. In fact, I'd even be glad to get down and dirty with you. If you'd like another co-writer down the stretch, I'd certainly be up for it, let me know. (I write more in the Hot AC & AC vein than Urban though).

Yeah pretty ambitious I know. And absolutely, if you want to take a crack it with me we can collab on a tune in your forte. AC is always in demand on the charts!!Best,Cisko

I hope to see you succeed in your quest.Out of curiosity, what are your plans for targeting/marketing the song(s)? I see from your blog that the first one [are there to be more?] will be an urban track....do you have a particular artist in mind? How do you plan to get the track in the right hands & heard?AndréHey Andreh,The idea is to write in the styles that are currently in rotation on the top 10. That varies from urban to pop to AC/Hot AC for the most part.I plan on pitching some through TAXI, but I will work with my current group of publishing contacts first. I will then expand once I have a good 10 or so solid tunes to pitch to additional publishers. The track Steve and I are working is sort of aimed at an urban girl group ala Danniy Kane or PCD, but it could be tailored toward any of the more adult oriented pop startlets.Hope this answers your questions.Best,CiskoSounds like a plan! Are you hoping for a serendipitous recording/release schedule by one or more of these artists, or do you have a plan to speed up the process?André

If the timing is in the cards with a major we'll see, but I also have a couple of other trajectories in mind. I realize fully that most of the path after it leaves my hands will have little to do with me, but I'm gonna do my damnedest to make it happen.Best,Cisko

Re: My New Adventure!
Hi Cisco,I think it's a great idea... mostly because I did the exact same thing when I re-started my music journey back in 2004. I started an email newsletter to friends and family called "The Tin Ear Society". The idea was that everyone was going to "go along for the ride" and that, for better or worse, everyone would see how things progressed as I floundered or flourished, as the case may be.One thing that I might suggest if possible. The email newsletter is something that people respond to more (because it comes to them), as opposed to a blog (where they have to make the effort to go to it). On the whole, it's an excellent idea and it's a lot more fun if you're taking all your friends and family along for the ride.

This is the kind of thing that I hoped would be part of the process. It's great to have the support and guidance. Thank you to those who have PM'd me with their support and suggestions as well. It is soooooo much appreciated.Best,Cisko
