Deliverance

Post by andyriggle » Wed Feb 11, 2009 1:22 pm

Hi All,Here's my latest. Worked on it so much that it just sounds like mush to me. But it's probably ok. Used EWQSO, Gypsy, and Akoustic piano patches along with Finale and Sonar. Deliverance6:10http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm ... 498460Kind Regards,Andy

AndyI don't know anything about this genre.I also don't know why there are no comments here. There are folks here that are very good in this area.Sometimes when a song is very bad there are little or no comments. This is not the case. It sounds good to me??I am bumping this to the top. Maybe it was just un-noticed?sincerelyPaul

I can only say I like it because it is way out of my league to actually offer any real comments. But me likes.

Good production. Delicate stereo field. Nicely 3d. No idea what EWQSO or Gypsy does for you. I liked the dynamics. I think that "Deliverance" as a song title has been typecast for me. The good news is that I detected no "squealing like pig" in your piece.

Thanks for the kind replies! I know "Deliverance" was probably not the best title, but that's the word that came to mind. It is a break form the rock scene. Andy

I love this Andy, when I have the time, I would love to listen to the rest of your work. Beautifully recorded, the classical guitar has a gorgeous incidental feel to it. Lush!Tim

Andy,Maybe you're the right guy and this is just the piece to take "Deliverance" to a new place in our minds!I enjoyed this and think you have the atmospherics/panning/sounds down well. The piano sounded a little close mic'd at times compared to everything else, but that approach can work.At around 2:30, I felt like you could have swelled the volume some--it began to drag a little for me there. The scope of this piece is impressive, as you seem to have several different passages/sections. The ending builds to a nice crescendo. You must have studied orchestration.Congrats!VinceP.S. Who is Drew Man?
