Some of the best recorded bass parts of all times were with a P-bass (oddly enough a '62 a lot of the time) and either flatwounds or dirty roundwounds . . . or my favorite . . . old dirty flatwounds! That's just a good funky bass tone imo.

Bleached: Good production. Nice stereo field. Solid vocal performance-nice harmony vocs and solid voc melodies. Simple piece that works. May lose charm in a bigger production. Congrats.Break Apart: Good production. Nice stereo field. Digging the bass. Solid voc performance with solid melodies. Drums blend well. I must say that that your emotional deliverance of what seems to be simple lyrics is quite good. James Taylor recently said that Alison Krauss can sing with great emotion and precision and yet show no emotion while performing. I hear great emotion and precision in your vocal performance. I wonder how you appear while performing.I wonder if your influences are Amy Winehouse, Alanis Morisette, Alison Krauss?A shout out to your producer-engineer!
