Wait!
Here's a really old one. Probably 7 years old? Wondering if I should redo it for the CD. All thoughts are welcome.http://www.dallasnetworks.net/media/sd/ ... :Everybody knows what's going onYou're not fooling anyoneSo much here and now it's gone. The world you depend upon,ChorusSo just waitFor the rubicon lineyou better wait, or maybe never mind.undercut, flaunt, pounce and mediocrityyou sound like a line from 1985.Verse 1Somewhere on the 3rd floor rented through the backdooryou're so underage i hear you being paged or so the video shows.Variations on a theme-line, living on the b sideHow many times have you wrapped your faithful lips around lies? And youChorusVerse 2Mirror mirror on the wallSynthetic lush you love them allSo now it sucks to wake up morning hung on stage fright. You say you've taken new life, dropped out from the spot light.Didn't we decide last night that this would be the last time?Chorus

Re: Wait!
Really clever writing. I like the intentionally broken rhyme, 'mediocrity; ... nineteeneighty...five' Not sure that the pop culture is ready for the word, 'Rubicon'. You might have them all heading off to www.dictionary.com -- hey, it's entertaining AND educational. I'd probably ditch the am radio, and vocal/formant effects, but that might be just me.Cool piece, thanks for posting it. Cheers,
Erich

Re: Wait!
hey dog!!!damn, this is one creative piece of work man, from the opening bell side to side to the strong guitar 3 notes...very strong piece...i love this tune...the production IMHO is very cool, though as usual in my comments, i'd like to hear your vocals a bit more clearly--the intro is very creative, however i think i'll stick with the vocal clarity comment JUST a bit more full in the intro....and then when you come in later, just a bit more clear, compressed? i don't no nothin' but production, just my ears talking and trying to say it...damn, this is very TODAY...with some older flares thrown in to shake us up...and the rubicon line will f up everybody--know what? so what!! let them go to the dictionary man...the kids need to (i knew about the caesar thing, but the general meaning is way cool too for this...damn, i wish i had wrote/written/this----very today, this SHOULD sell!!!!all the best, and hey, IMHO--you aint foolin' anyone--YOU KNOW what's goin' on!! splendid.warren

Re: Wait!
Very nice song. I think that synth sound in the very beginning definitely needs to be changed, that sound reminds me of the bad digital synths that came with my DAW. But the vocals sound great, nice lyrics and words. I would maybe suggest changing 1985 to 1980 if its rhythmically possible, to my ears it would song more like a rhyme. The way its situated now, its almost like I can't notice that its "early" rhyming.-Jeff

Re: Wait!
Rubicon line...nice. Good production and mix and master. The freqs blend very well. The voc is a bit buried in places. The song kept my interest through three listens.
