My Reply
If you can't tell by now, I am trying to fine tune an entire CD. So I am posting a lot of music. However, I'll be reviewing a lot as well. Here is My Replyhttp://www.dallasnetworks.net/media/sd/myreply ... ered.mp3Im looking for comments on the entire song, is it a viable song? What should change instrumental wise?etc. etc.Lyrics:Lately, you've given me the runaroundAnd why's it always come to thisBecause tonight's no differentDon't try to paint it goldAnd by now you'd think I'd realizeThat dishonesty takes precedence in your mindAnd this is my replySave your regrets for those who forgetThe truthWell I opened up this heart of mineAnd offered you the worldLately you've driven me out of boundsAnd why's it always hit or missIt's no surprise that this how the page unfoldsAnd by now you'd think I'd realizeThat apologies are evident in your mindAnd this is my replySave your regrets for those who forgetSave your regrets for those who forgetThe truthWell I opened up this heart of mineAnd offered you the worldAnd it seems it wasn't good enoughFor this contradicting girlSave your regrets for those who forgetSave your regrets for those who forgetSave your regrets for those who forgetSave your regrets cause I won't forget

Re: My Reply
Overall this is impressive to my ears! You've got a lot of good stuff going on in this one. I wish I could sing as well. Be careful of over compressing things in general. Apart from the performance which is great, my impression of the song is that it is sort of cold sounding and needs some warmth. I'm not sure if that is the taxi server or compression or what... I'm trying to be helpful and I'm not communicating adequately. I like it a lot and you are very close!
I hear the voice of God in a bending guitar string!

Re: My Reply
Another cool radio song. IMO snare drum is too loud & "boxy" sounding, too much plastic beater sound on the kick (maybe the drums are just too loud or too compressed?), vocals need to come up.
