Re: Modern Rock Instrumental-UPDATE 2
W. - thanks again for your insight, I don't hear things being late/early but I'll take a closer look at it! inVINCEable - The term "funny", I checked it in the industry drum term dictionary and came up with a blank, it would be a big help if you could use terms that would help me understand whatcha mean, lol... RLD - I got no ala on this one mate, it was a thing that came out during on of my practice "jam" times. Sorry man. Oh and I did check out that bass note and from one perspective it does kind of not fit but from another it does, VERY good ear to pick it out man, serious. For me anyway I read and take very careful note of what each post is saying so can rest assured that I'll catch it if you post it. Sometimes I don't have alot of time to reply in depth so I apologize if I didn't reply in a way that showed I payed attention to the review. I'll be making more changes on this and adding vocals asap, can;t thank you guys enough!

Re: Modern Rock Instrumental-UPDATE 2
"Funny" sounding cymbals = too much low end and/or too close mic'd. I'd give you times, but the Quicktime player in my browser doesn't do that. I think I've isolated it to whatever is crashing in the left speaker--the one of the right sounds fine to me.HTH!Vince

Willie, don't know if this is an update i've already heard or not but . . . . something is off in the first verse . . . something not tight with the bass and drums. I really like when this track kicks in ala Jumping Jack Flash!

Re: Modern Rock Instrumental-UPDATE 2
Ok man, I'll check it out with the other tracks muted and see what might be up with the bass and drums... Funny after getting the framework done for this tune I was getting that "Rolling Stones" thing in my head but I could place what tune! You just nailed the ala for sure! LOL! I don't want to sound like the RS! Once I've got vox on this it should fix that problem...

Cheers Geo, as always... Ya that Stones thing is there but again, once vocals are droped in there it'll be hard to JJF... I HOPE!!! LOL! As for the crash I really don't get it, I'm not hearing the issue. Its it the tone, the pan, the resonance? I need some deeper help with this one...

Re: Modern Rock (Was a Instrumental)-UPDATE 3
Right mates, I went ahead and took the instrumental (though not bad as one but...) and turned it into the full band thing I had in my head. I don't think it sucks but thats just my opinion. Need to really make this a great modern rock tune so more help would be so darn wonderful, you have no idea... LOL! www.williamthomasanderson.com/w2/SS_3_05.mp3 Oh ya, ah it's working name is Gonna Be No More and here's the lyric (keep in mind I'm looking for AC/DC simple on these lyrics...)Gonna Be No MoreWords by William Thomas AndersonMusic by Soul SolariumGave you all the love I hadGave it and then and then someGave you all the love I hadNow You leave me staring at theGave you all the love I hadGave it and then and then someGave you all the love I hadNow You leave me staring at theAt the doorAll I know is I am dyingLeaving me here on the floorGuess there is no use cryingDon't love me anymoreI can see there is no use denyingI'm not getting up from this floorI would say in no time babyI'm gonna be no moreGave you all the blood I hadGave it and then and then someGave you all the blood I hadNow You leave it spilling at theGave you all the blood I hadGave it and then and then someGave you all the blood I hadNow You leave it spilling at theAt the doorAll I know is I am dyingLeaving me here on the floorGuess there is no use cryingDon't love me anymoreI can see there is no use denyingI'm not getting up from this floorI would say in no time babyI'm gonna be no moreSoloAll I know is I am dyingLeaving me here on the floorGuess there is no use cryingDon't love me anymoreI can see there is no use denyingI'm not getting up from this floorI would say in no time babyI'm gonna be no moreCopyright 2009 Takes y'all...

Re: Modern Rock (Was a Instrumental)-UPDATE 3
hey willie!,i really like the possibilities of this man, the vocal does IMHO add much!just a couple quick production notes from as you know a very great producer--NOT...--i'd like to hear your voice with a fuller feel, sounds a bit high in eq to my old ears, needs depth....don't know how, so can't suggest anything...and hell, i may be deef..--2nd verse for interest IMHO really needs an almost duet harmony man...trust me, it would really knock it outta the park with a harmony added to that verse--some of the lines have a few unneeded "extra" words (and not the ones you repeat BTW...)for instance i'd sing:All I know is I'm dyin'Leave me here on the floor, etc. it would just simplify the meter IMHO,,,that's all for now, i dig this, but it is still to my ears more classic rock than modern, but so what?? very nice work my friend...the best, warren

Hey W., thanks for the tips... harmony vocals on the second verse? OF COURSE! Man where is my head these days? I'm all over that man. I'll have a look at the eqing and wording. How are you listening/monitoring tune?
