Steve,I was out of town so am listening here for the first time (edited version, I presume). Great sound here from start to finish. The trumpets sound a little more distant compared to the other instruments, but it all seems to work superbly--congrats!Vince

Yes, you surely heard the edited version. I'm pretty sure I'm done with it. Trumpets are tough to blend because they can cut through so easily. It's a work in progress... Steve

Re: Another Epic Orchestral piece - feedback pleas
Hi Steve-I've given up music to pursue my new passion in life- learning Pro Tools 8 from the ground up!You of course appreciate the quality of feedback we receive from our friends here at Taxi. Well, I've been listening and made the big plunge into this century. I started disconnecting hardware sequencers today and packed them up in the event the Smithsonian ever needs them. You could almost hear the whimpers as I maliciously tore their plugs out of the sockets...Needless to say,my music is less about creativity right now than it is about getting some DAW chops. I'm a long way from despair, and inversely positioned on the learning curve!Best wishes,Al

Awesome. I'm just getting started with the orchestral stuff, so I'm totally blown away! Can I be you for a couple of days?

Mazz and Geo, thanks for the kind words.Stan, I'll trade you some of your jazz chops for some of my orchestration knowledge.Kurt, thanks again for your suggestions. It helps to have an objective ear.Al, best of luck with Pro Tools. But don't lose sight of creativity just because you have more and better technology. Looking forward to see what your music evolves into.Best to all of you,Steve
