Solo AcGit piece -- Breakfast in Bed
Hi all,Curious to hear your critiques about this piece that I'm finishing up: Breakfast in Bed: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7271277I posted a link to a previous version of this on the technology board; this is a re-track/re-mix. I still have a few things on my to do list for this one. Just thought I'd bounce if off you all. This forum has probably been more helpful to me than any other resource on TAXI.Thanks,Erich

Sounds good to me Erich, I think this should fly for the right solo acoustic guitar listing, good playing!

Re: Solo AcGit piece -- Breakfast in Bed
Hey Erich,Nice sound and touch on the frets here--I enjoyed listening. I've seen many opps for solo acoustic guitar and this is well played enough to compete for most uses. I'm not sure there's enough "content" (melody) to stand on its own, but for background, underscore, etc., it should work fine.I heard a few things that you might want to go back and listen for (took notes as the song passed):- 0:15 and 1:16 sounded like either edit points or a noise gate kicking in- 0:24 - noise?- string squeaks throughout - you could try a de-esser on those- might need a touch of compression to even out volumesVince

Re: Solo AcGit piece -- Breakfast in Bed
I really appreciate the feedback guys. I'll be putting the final master on it tonight. I might go back and re-arrange and re-track the front section in the near future too. I've been getting some feedback that it's a little too syncopated and the overall piece would flow better if it were evened out.Talk soon,Erich

Sounds good Erich!! Nice chord progressions. 1:17 may need a crossfade. Low end could use a little more presence IMO. For the syncopation I like what you've got and could only hear one spot that might benefit from re-working :23 might have a little smoother feel if you sync it more like what you did at 1:23. That's all I got!Good Luck
