Re: "A Day Out" - New Acoustic Piece
Quote:Only luck I have had is to actually make a cut in the audio on one of the tracks around the time with phasing and just slide the clip a tiny bit left or right--worth trying.Yes Vince, I did quite a bit of that with this tune. Both mono tracks as you say.Latency seems to be the main culprit with me. I don't think my timing's really all that bad! (could be in denial though )
I put the kettle on, it didn't suit me.

Dave..its not timing at all: )forgive my unprofessional attempt to explain here..but when you played both parts...they are so close thatthey almost sound as one guitar...but just a tiny bit offwhich results in a chorus/or flange effect...a number of things can be tried on this...as Vince says, shiftingthe tracks a tiny bit could to the trick...(and im not suggesting you do anything over but... ) sometimesplaying the same part on a different part of the fretboard canmake it more colorful~stuff i learned the hard way...but whats awesome is thatones you have done it wrong and learned...its one more stepof being a very experienced recording/production engineer!peace from the East!

The sound is just fine as is to my ears. And the title really matched the feel...like someone's just out for a stroll or a leisurely drive. Just great. Congrats!!
