This is waaay of the wall and I like it! BTW wasn't Joe jackson's song "Sunday Papers" a big hit in England? It had the line "Mother never goes out anymore, just stis at home and rolls her spastic eyes" . . .

well, of course this is very cool, and i dig it--not sure i "get" it all, but don't think that's possible...LOL...now i'm gunna say what i always do to you and you smartly ignore me, BUT here she goes:though the FX are cool in some of the places, i think the tune with it's very inventive and cool instrumentation, doesn't need ALL of the FX, it tended to clutter the tune just a bit, but of course that's just my opinion, hell, it's very tricky and cool stuff, just not sure you need it ALL.the "kids" were watching johnny depp's version of willie wonka and i caught about 1/2 of it the other night--what a weird tripped out flick THAT is, and man, i heard your tune on a flick just like it, came to mind immediately...sooo, that's it, oh, on the spastic thing, i know it comes from the illness, though i'm not british/isles, but like many words over here, i don't find it a problem at all, and not sure if younger people (like us...LOL...) even know it's history...all the best,warrenps: damn well produced i wrote down too...damn well produced, and only one listen, another xmas party last night,..

Mark,What a trip. Sort of makes me think of Sgt. Peppers as well as Nilsson. Really cool!! Love the production and quality of the track!!I started out thinking this would be a great song for kids, very creative and imaginative!! Burger King, Exxon - struck a nerve - I don't have fond feelings toward these institutions so that's probably just me. And while "sex on" does rhyme with exxon it removes about 3/4 of your target audience IMHO. So the only suggestion I have would be to replace those two lines to make it more user friendly. Definitely enjoyed the listen!!Kitz

Warren, I NEVER ignore you. I may not always do all you suggest, but I always think it over, and the suggestions stay in my mind when I work on new things too. So, a win/win getting your critiques, as far as I'm concerned.Okay, you say ease off on the effects...and I'm thinking more more more! Probably because I played this song for so many years as a solo acoustic number, always wishing I could somehow go crazy with oddball sounds and effects. I just want to do these better...the little alien guy is probably too much, I need a better Sinatra (he was fabulously well-endowed, by the way, just enormous), and I'd like to hear some "squiggly" sounds, and zooms, and spacecrafts and more characters. I want this one to build to an insane crescendo, and then have the Wicked Witch of the West fly off for no apparent reason.But that's just me.As far as flicks, I would dearly love to catch the interest of a surrealistic video producer...this would be a blast to see. Nice to hear the production is getting better! I used the new Gauge ECM-87 microphone on this one...all the vocals, acoustic guitars and mandolin. Sounds much deeper, crisper and clearer all at once. And anything on a shockmount is always impressive.Thanks Heinsite! -Mark
