Tim,I like it! I don't know what listing to put it to and I don't think I'd re-do the entire vocal part as most everything sounds really good to me. I even like the quirky guitar solo!I like the lyrics, vocal and production is really nice in my view - might boost the guitars in the verse just before the solo (very little but enough to give it that little bit of drive IMO. You might need to differentiate a bit more between the chorus and verse. I hate it when people tell me that - but I think the blue sky all around verse is repeated enough to be the chorus. Just a thought.I like the vibe and the overall. On the guitar solo the next to the last note sounded just a little bit pitchy to me. Take a listen closely to the opening guitar for something extraneous. Solo it loud and tell me what that is. Is there some distortion there? or is there an effect playing around? Check the very 1st note. Could be the conversion to MP3 I'm hearing but I doubt it.Jesse is 10 and he likes it / the wife says tween listing / I say give it to Pete Seeger. On the heat of giraffe toward the end I also noticed it. Cool - don't get impatient but sometimes you gotta take a break and do something else and listen later with new perspective. I know you know that.Keep up the good work,Kitz

Hey Casey and Kitz thanks for yer comments. Kits that noise your hearing is my buzzy Acoustic. I mostly love my Larrivee, but she's in some sad shape at the moment. She's due for a tune up and a rest. A new Breedlove is in the works. I tried to eq some of that noise out, but couldn't quite get it all. Might retrack the beginning with the piezo in my Tele.

Hey Tim.. I meant to listen to this before x-mas... I love the melody man! and arrangement works great to my ears. Lyrically I like the concept, but I see what other's mean about a chilren's/tween song (which btw seems like a perfect idea). I thought about what you said about whether a title change would've made a difference.. and I'm not sure anymore because my view is tainted ha ha but I think it MIGHT.At any rate I think you wrote a kick-a$$ little tune!

hey tim--very well structured tune man!!also didn't follow the lyrics at all as i listened--and when i did, didn't make any difference...think it would be a great kids tune, 'cuz i for one don't get who exactly you're talking to/about--but i can be thick as a brick...though i can fill in many who it would work for politically...for me, i'd use that break/bridge for some more words that either tell us more about what you REALLY mean in the tune (not too overt obviously...) or use it to spice it up for the kids, if that's the direction you take...at any rate, i dig it, great joball the best, warrenoh, ps: don't think it fits the genre you were after at all, however doesn't mean it aint a very good tune!!
