Hell, I'm old and deaf. I can't tell any difference, except that some of the subtleties of the guitars and dobro seem to get lost in the mix at the faster speed. Can anyone else hear the noise kitz is talking about? Kitz, do you hear it on the 3.5% version too? Here's a link to it:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... am=trueI'm not planning to rerecord it.Thanks,Cam

My vote is for the original version, but that may simply because it was the first one I listened to. They are all very good, the vox is awesome, real solid country sound/inflection.Personally, I think it might be best to speed it up by 3.1415927% Seriously though, this is a great tune, very solid performances all the way around and really good lyrics IMHO. Although it would have been nice to read along with the lyrics, but that's just me.Great Job, I think you really can't go wrong no matter what you decide.

Cam,I noticed the problem on the computer speakers. Nothing special (Altec Lansing with a sub). It's pretty noticable on that set up. When I run it through the protools box and dynaudio close field monitors the problem is not as evident - so the cheaper system picks it up more. For an example of what I'm hearing - listen to the last note. I think you will hear it there. These little glitches are happening all throughout the peice on the altered versions. It's not THAT bad overall but it is something that just kind of sits in the background knawing at me - I keep saying - what was that? and then I realize it's the bits being misplaced slightly. I'm sorry to have to point this out but maybe it will help in your decision.at :23 - :30 in the gtr and dobro gtr fills around :45 again 1:21 and 2:11 on the vocal gtr fill around 2:28 vocal at 2:59These are some of the more prominent spots I hear on the studio monitors - It is more prevelant on the cheaper system with the sub.Hope this helps,Kitz

Cam,Hi! My vote is for the slower version. The difference in tempo is fairly subtle to me and I hear the audio artifacts that were mentioned above in spots here and there.Great tune! Good luck!

ha ha on 2nd listen I do LIKE it bit faster, but the first just sounds more natural so I'm still going with the original. I'm kinda torn though!

Dave, Great song man. If this gets cut, I'm going to buy a copy and send it to my ex-girlfriend. It is such a slight difference, I would just default to the faster version just to meet the Taxi critique advice about shortening it. The slower version doesn't bother me, even after hearing the faster one. Again, great song.
