"easy as Sunday morning..."yeah, that's what I always say . . . & then I cahnge one little thing & that affects something else so I change that! I usually end up having wiping the slate clean and start over!

Willie, I listened again since I had to be on headphones when I first commented early this morning. The vocal definitely sounds better on my monitors--usually my ears are fresh in the morning, so I'm not sure now exactly what I was reacting to earlier. I'll chalk it up to whatever I listened to just prior and who knows what that was?!Summary: I think the vocals are pretty good and I'm only getting a little feel of that room sound I pointed out previously. So, I retract 90%--maybe just a minor EQ adjustment or a dynamic mic?Vince

inVinceableamous, I use a B.L.U.E Baby Bottle for my vocals usually (its a high midranged priced large diaphram condensor), no dynamic mics unless its a unique situation, for vox that is. A HUGE thanks for taking the time to go through this tune several times, man your the best mate. I'm not sure I fully follow you but I think I've got a sniff of what your trying to say, lol... I keep playing it through my mind, a guy closing himself in a small room with alot of reflective things to record vocal tracks, LOL, maybe its just an Italian thing (your not going to put a button man on me are ya? Oi back to the mattresses!).

Williamagnanimous, I listened again this morning (on headphones) to recalibrate my noggin, and the impression is mostly gone, but here are a few things to listen for that gave me that initial impression of "boxiness": - At :18, sibilance at the end of "comes" - At :20, "be" -- I hear a "plosive" on the b letter - At :23, a very mild low end artifact at the beginning of the word "quit"That's it! I swear I'm not normally this obsessive about these kinds of details, but the purpose of my listing the 3 examples above was more to convince myself that I wasn't making this up rather than suggesting you need to change anything.Of course, maybe I'm just recalling the days of recording vocal tracks in the fitting room of my Uncle Guido's cement footwear factory in New Jersey...V>

wARREN....Very interesting.....Like bill said , this tune is way out there...And I have to be honest...I don't think it's my cup of tea...I do like the lyrics and I think it's just the way it's put together, that's throwing me a curve...Sorry i couldn't be more positive on such a nice rainy Chrismas Eve.. See Warren...When I think of u in a possitive vein, I think of the TARP IN THE TRAILER SONG.. NOW THAT TO ME IS WARREN HEINSITE.... JMHOP.........Jay...
