The Bailout - electric blues
Missed the deadline on a blues listing with this one. Curious to hear any and all feedback on this, and, what type of listings you might think it fits on.Thanks,TBhttp://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo. ... ID=7122116

Re: The Bailout - electric blues
TB (Erich?),Nice title! Guitar is well played and recorded. Heard a few rhythmic glitches early on that might catch a screener's attention negatively.I've submitted a song before where I've had tempo/feel changes embedded like you do here and they were pretty skittish about it (commenting on it in the critique). My guess is they don't like to take chances, unless the listing calls for that specifically. I think it's cool and shows some compositional interest.I listened to a few other songs on your TAXI site--sounds great!Vince

TB,Great playing!! Nice arrangement too. Personal preference - would like to hear more and fatter drums and bass in the mix, hot and heavy - driving as much as the guitar - just my 2c. I almost got a "little feat" vibe during the head. No one can play that backbeat like feat but you're pretty darn close!!Kitz

tele--very nice job, only problem i had was in the mix, the organ is soooo way back, i'd like to hear it brought up front just a bit more, and actually the lead guitar as well....but i'm no mixer man, nice jammin' piece, good luck with it...the best, warren

Re: The Bailout - electric blues
Thanks all for the great feedback. I think the comment about the embedded changes in feel are dead on; this will probably be a hard sell listing wise. I'm really struggling with the organ/git levels; they sound way different on different monitoring systems. I'll probably need to carve out some frequencies for each to own.I'll probably let this one gel for a bit, and take another look at the final mix/master when an appropriate listing pops up.Cheers,Erich, (aka Teleblaster)
