Elephant Flatulence
While all of the rest of you were probably doing something constructive today, I learned that I can make a fretless bass sound like a slide trombone. Now why would I want to do this you ask? I don't know. But I could make some really cool fart sounds (and everybody thinks farts are funny even if they don't want to admit it.) So I laid this down. I was going for something that could be used for a "drunken walk home" kind of comedic situation. Anyway, I thought it was funny . . . might make you smile. For right now I call it Elephant Flatulence. Is it funny?http://www.billgaunce.com/song/102

I will be the first to admit that I found this to be quite funny. I love how the harmonica sounds like an elephant too. haha And you're probably right, you might be able to find a home for that.Andy

Nice, Bill. Mancini has his "Baby Elephant Walk", and, well, you've covered the rest. Nice groove. Is that Addictive Drums you're still using? Sweet job overall.

Re: Elephant Flatulence
thank you guys for listening to this dumb track. I swear I think I spent about as much time laughing at the crazy bass sound & had going than I did recording the thing. Remember when you were a kid and you'd sit around with your buddies doing the hand under the armpit thing? Well that's whatt was going on in my mind!

Re: Elephant Flatulence
hey billy!hell, of course after you said it--i laughed BEFORE i heard it...then i heard it i said to myself, "damn, bill can come up with a tune called elephant farts, and still i'm betting it will have a home AND a forward before my next if ever one"and yes i think it's cool, without you saying the title, i would have thought of just a trombone and cool harp piece/frolic,,,damn, you DO fart songs!! (a compliment, never can be too careful anymore with them...LOL)and wouldn't you know it? i got on tonight to post my 2nd instrumental/demo job, and the bass is very hidden because i chose allot of acoustics bouncing around--and you come up with this, maybe literally outta your azz! but hell, i'll follow it anyway...with one of those huge pooper scoopers!!the best, warren

Nice groove... definitely made me chuckle. It's probably the last thing I'm going to hear before heading off to bed. Wonder if I'll have elephant dreams.

Am I the only one who feels slightly violated? Did your dad ever play the fart game with you (I"m still trying to get that smell out of me head? Now it's BillG, I WILL need counseling now for sure... Oh this will get forwarded now JUST to tick Heizy off! Screeners make note... '-) wta
