Mmmmm, I'd better go talk to my lawyer! Actually.... you should call it the Cheese Cutter! Great track for comedy Bill... definitely has a Fat Albert ring to it. I'll suggest a couple of little things for this one.... first, your drums might need to take a back seat in the mix -- less of the overhead mic would be good too, as the splashy hat is a little much for me, and it doesn't really sound like it's in the same room as the rest of the instruments. I've found that to be true for most every song I've recorded with EZD. To showcase the bass more, I'd stick with more simple patterns and fills... or perhaps a longer version of the track where you can switch it up to give the editors more options.Another thing might be to throw an exciter on the lead bass to give the tone some more punch. It's a great sound, and should have a big bright spotlight on it!Again, nice work.... you've definitely got something very cool here!

Love this track Bill... you definitely captured the humorous element in it. I was smiling the entire time as it was playing. Great job man!- Big Blue

Billy, babe the whole world is calling me with this gas thing! They're going to cancel our world tour and replace us with Tiny Tim.

Re: Elephant Flatulence
thanks zoom! actually this isn't EZ drummer but a loop from discrete drums so about the best i can do is bring down the whole kit. It is kinda loud!thanks Blue, sometimes it good just to goof off a bit!Willie, sorry I blew our gig, but I knew about the Tiny Tim thing . . . his manager called and offered me a bass gig. It seems that "fart bass" is really taking off . . . pretty soon my monetary problems will all be gone . . . everybody go out and have a few drinks on me (I'll pay you back when my first check comes in)

Ahaaaa.... so this is what men talk about when there are no gals about... This is a very good track for a music library, I think. My dad was a composer for a music library and he wrote a track for solo tuba called "Feeling Sick" and it had something of a similar quality about it. My dad's track has been used for over 20 years in loads of films and is one of the highest paid. His big orchestral things did well too, but this one is a consistent income. I think you could title it better to fit more situations, though it's funny, it might restrict it? There's a listing coming up - have a study of #Y090206IN - might fit?

Re: Elephant Flatulence
Bill,I couldn't get this to stream while I was on the road, so I'm glad I'm finally home to listen. I thought we all learned from "Spinal Tap" that it's the drummer who's supposed to have gas and self-destruct!?As Georgina pointed out, this could definitely work for one of the "quirky/comedy" listings that seem to pop up pretty frequently. I could see this piece fitting in with many scenes and the fact that you used real instruments--even tho it wasn't a trombone or an elephant--definitely helps. Will this be the last track on side B of the IXAT debut album? Or will the label demand that it be destroyed?Vince
