Acid Hip Hop Jazz?

Post by ideascapes » Sat Dec 20, 2008 12:20 pm

One of the music libraries I work with asked me for an "Acid Hip Hop Jazz" piece. I'm hoping somebody can tell me if this is close...or if the guy is just trying to pull my chain!Thanks.Vince===========================http://www.broadjam.com/transmit/index. ... yhgbndsq=1

Vince,Cool track and great jazz chops! I could easily jump in my car, play this tune and put on a few Miles... ; ) Definite urban vibe here. Can't comment about hip hop however. I think the closest I've come to hip hop is when I dropped a hammer on my toe.Who was live on that track? I'm jealous.... in the best sense of the word.Al

Thanks for the compliments, Al. I liked your hip hop comment--great visual there! This was a very experimental production. I overdubbed the bass and some of the keyboards live; everything else is a combination of programming and sliced/diced/processed recorded loops.I'm a jazzer at heart branching out to other genre cuz I love them all!Vince
