Re: My One Dance Song - which listing?
hi vince--hope i have the right tune...driftin'?my first thought was that the intro vocal was quite cool, but actually thereafter it was UNDERproduced, especially right after the vocal intro, i excpected and wanted a big pound bang bang thing, but it didn't quite do that the bongos didn'g do it...now don't get me wrong, this is a QUALITY song, i love the vibe, reverb, echo , that 80's dance thing going on,,,,,very cool.....but it needs a bigger production all the way through, from a bigger sounding verse to a huge production of a chorus--the MUSIC IS THERE, but IMHO though it a lovely tune, needs to soar more...all the best, warren

Valid point, warren, thanks. When I first produced this, it seemed very full to me; now when I listen, I get the same impression as you. Not sure what changed in my ears since then, but I'll have to go back and see what I can do in the mix.Vince

hey Vince, I'm not familiar with ANY of these alas, but I wanted to throw my two cents worth in for the Footloose/Dirty Dancing/Flashdance retro sort of stuff. I think the production is right on for them also.
