How out of tune are my vocals on this one??

This song is called I don't love you.......its a rough mix and I did some quickie editing during the intro solo so the first cymbal hit is slightly off but that's not the point of my thread..........I am pretty sure I need to recut this lead vocal, just wanted some input. Nice song Mark... vocals sound good. No major problems pitch-wise that I hear... there might be a little nuances here and there that would benefit from something like Auto-Tune, but they certainly don't get in the way of the idea and overall feel. Best of luck.

And FWIW, out of all the vowel sounds, a long "I" sound that gets held out for any length of time is one of THE most problematic ones there is... for nearly EVERY vocalist. There are so many variations on it...the southern "ah" version...the flat long "I" version...the version that changes over into an "ee" sound (and often too soon)...don't worry about that right now. Keep singing from your heart, just the way you do. Ted

Of course, with your title I was holding my breath a little -- usually I don't have to ask that question because my vocals are always off... thanks Melodyne! But Mark.... you got nothin' to worry about. Just keep on belting it out! It's a good tune, and I enjoyed the listen.

Your voice has a great quality!Wonderfully memorable and adds to your song, sexy Usually there is a slight taper to the vocals at the end, and a little more air to create softness, especially on the I...possibly a slight turn away from the mic (Celine Dion does that all the time when she sings live, creates softness and a taper, but you have to do it just right).Trent Reznor is also a master at the breathy end Not out of tune, don't be harsh on yourself!

"now I'm""lie""first road" (couldn't tell if it was "road" or not)On those phrases I heard some error-ing, either off pitch or off times or just a weak melody/line. But for the most part, the vocals are amazing, I was expecting something worse if you were gonna ask if they sounding in tune or not, but I guess this is Taxi and not Harmony Central forums There is some rhythmic weakness in the song, and the vocals (and maybe guitars as well) are sometimes not timed as perfectly as they can be. Hey mcanty... yeah I agree with the others that you have a great voice and great tone! But.. maybe a few tweaks here and there... Nice song! That sax kicks major butt.
