DoDoDo Listen Please!

Post by davekershaw » Fri Dec 12, 2008 3:51 am

Well fellas. Here it is, after one year in production! Well, actually, it was the very first thing I did on my very first midi controller. I wrote it as a fun thing to show my son the sounds that could be produced. After months of trying to improve my programming I felt ready to go back to it, and try to make it something useable. It's my first solely midi track, and is certainly better than my original effort. Maybe it's got a place. It's a straight mix down, with no mastering.I enjoyed doing it anyway. A bit zany? quirky? see what you think.I warn you ... it's long! A whole 52 seconds!!Couldn't think of a better name than the original working title: "DoDoDo" http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=true

Hey Dave, what a perfect song title, it's really speaks it.It sounds very usable to my ears, even in it's unmastered state.I like the short ones, you might want to try and get another 8 seconds out of it, so it wouldn't fall short of those listings asking for 60 sec. nice work!

Cool track Dave. I'm with Marc . . . put a little drum intro or something in there to get you to :60, it'll make it more usable.

Hey Dave -Yep you nailed the title, that's for sure. Got a bit of the Pink Panther vibe going. The only thing that bothered me was one of the synths that sounds a bit cheesy. Its the one that comes in at about :24.Nice job!Cam

Thought it might make it more usable. Thanks for listening.Dave.
