Drums are falling behind the bass. Makes the song sound like it's continually slowing down. Advance drums 50ms and your track will groove even more. Or delay bass guitar (50 ms), so the kick drum starts the bass notes. Or tell me I don't know what I'm talking about... My Hammond is currently set up and all miked. hint hint.

Gave up guilt when I left the ol' school girl uniform behind. You know, cute little skirts and knee socks, nuns and rulers and all that.

Steve, Steve, Steve........ Yet, more drum advice. Actually, I intentionally moved the drum track behind the beat. I'm not sure of the exact ms, I just moved it in slight increments until it felt right. If I were to guess, I'd say around 20-30. I think 50ms either way would be too much. I wanted the song to have a relaxed, realistic, authentic groove; not to sound like a bunch of white bred Canadian boys playing constantly on top of the beat trying to 'get my mo-jo wer-kiiinggg', while talking about their 90K teaching & salesmen jobs in between sets.Dec 7, 2008, 3:06pm, billg wrote:Wade, I think this is perfect!
