Electronic orchestral type thing

Post by fusilierb » Thu Oct 30, 2008 8:38 am

I started writing this to submit to a Dance/Electronic listing. It kind of took on a life of its own and now I'm not quite sure what this would be appropriate for. Extreme Sports? Any ideas or comments.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id= 181602&stream=trueAny critiques would be appreciated also.Bryan

(Me holding up both hands) Film/TV music supports emotion in scenes and so emotion is of primary importance. This is definitely action/suspense type stuff. Bourne Ultimatum kind of action/suspense. Not so much extreme sports (to my ear at least) because I tag that emotion as "excitement". There's too much of the "suspense" element to be exciting I think (even though it is action oriented).I think that as a "Dance/Electronica" track that this obviously misses the mark. It's one of those hybrid tracks where you kind of have to wait for the right listing to come along. One current listing that looks appropriate is:ORCHESTRAL/DRAMATIC INSTRUMENTALS for Film Trailers and various Film/TV placements are wanted by a very successful Production Music Library who has placements with ABC, CBS, NBC, WB, Disney, Discovery, Lifetime, Fox, USA, etc. (to name just a few). There's no critique but it'd probably be a good start in terms of finding a listing to pitch to.HTH,Dave

Hi Dave,Thanks for the reply. It clearly was no longer anywhere close to what the listing was asking for, but I sent it anyhow, cause I was curious to see a critique of it. The critique was very positive on all points, except for the obvious "not right for this listing". But at least I know that it's got a good shot if the right listing comes around, that was worth five bucks. I did submit it to the listing you mentioned. We'll see.Bryan
