Good fit for "Swamp Rock" listing

I still dont get the Suicidal Tendencies being one of the listed A la's.I saw them twice back in the day and they are pure metal. Maybe they have some new stuff?M~

You know man, I'm listening to this again... ...sucker for instrumentals here.I know I mentioned adding harmonica, but after giving it a few, and coming back with fresh ears, have you considered adding possibly some subtle dobro? Maybe even some distinctive slide guitar? I bet that would do wonders for the overall sound on this one and might bring you one step closer to Swamp Rock.Or you could just take a wheel barrel full of rocks and push it to the nearest swamp and record yourself throwing them into the murky water....The sploosh sound would make some great Swamp Rock! Seriously though. Dobro. Harmonica. Slide guitar. I'm also suggesting possibly changing the "sound" of the drum kit as well. Think more organic, raw, and less clean.Just some more thoughts my man!

Hey Matt, the listing is asking for a variety of styles, Metal and Punk (which the Suicidal Tendencies definitely fall under) are two of them. Swamp rock was just one of the examples.

Yeah, stephen, you have some good suggestions there. I think I could pull off some dobro and I hear what you're saying about the drums--they're a little bright and tight. And I do have a "lake" in the backyard and could probably record some rock and/or kid throwing...Anybody got any alligator samples?V>

Hey Vince!I think the song is really cool, but I don't hear the swamp.When I think of swamp, I expect guitar, guitar and more guitar. You're tune (IMHO) is more sophisticated.There's a place for this song nonetheless. When I see a listing that matches (in my mind), I'll try to remind you!AlP.S. Do you gig? I get the impression you do. If so where? I'd love to hear you some time when I'm in your neck of the woods (or city).
