Very nice work, Kitz. There's a lot of bottom in this piece so you don't need a kick or snare in my opinion. Just a triangle and and open hat or even just a tam would do. Beautiful bass sounds on the classical git enhanced by the bass.The drums are a vampire here. Drive a stake in their heart or take them out into the sunlight and Bob's your uncle. Wig

I really loved the guitar playing, the sound and all - Beautiful! But the drums really destroyed the piece, you can't get the rhythm into your heart this way. My songwriter teacher always told me one thing about the drums, you have to be able to feel the rhythm, By this he meant: Always let the hi-hat or ride (except fills) play 4 or 8 beats per bar in a straight 4/4. If you listen to this song, you can hear the shaker in the background making a steady rhythm pattern, I think you wanted too much with the drums. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=locIxsfpgp4

Yeah,Sorry guys for that. These drums are just the metronome track for the guitar. They are not timed or planned or anything. I figured you guys would bust me for that. I know a really great jazz drummer who can play the part when I can get him. But I like Wig's idea of just percussion. I'll repost with just bass and drums if you think the bass part will fly.Thanks,Kitz

I was going to suggest Wigs idea... lose the drums completely ... think the playing is good enough to go it alone with a little percussion..Great job!!!Peace, Geo

I think you should do a version with just the guitars and one with bass and percussion. If you have it with just guitars you can send it to the acoustic guitar listings!

I really like this. It's uplifting and intelligent at the same time...I hope that makes sense. And I agree about the all acoustic version. It reminds me of a tune on Taylor's series "Wood & Steel Vol I" real smooth
