Plenty of high waves in the North Sea, but some odd things floating about too, so I wouldn't want to fall in and get a mouthfull! Thanks on the strings. Now you've got me itchin' to tweak again!Any other yays or nays?I can take it. I'm here to improve! Where's Dave Walton? He's got the string chops!

They sound familiar, but I can't put my finger on 'em just yet! Sounds good! Keep at it mate!I-468Thanks Ibz.There's a lot wrong with that acoustic version that I can't fix until I get that new acoustic. That was done a year ago, and I've learnt so much since.I'll use this same bed which has a major where there was a misfit minor in the old version.Drums are Session Drummer, so you'll know them from Sonar. Thanks for the listen mate.I'm on ta' that first forward!!

DaveNot often someone actually listens to me Personally, I think the strings sound much better now. Less pad-dy (to be sure ). I prefer the snare in the middle too (probably just a taste thing). She's good to go to me!BTW the progression has been going round and round my head since I listened earlier this afternoon. Catchy little bugger

Hey Dave! Checking out the tune here......Pretty little instrumental Dave. I have you considered adding more accompanying guitar parts? Instantly, once your lead melody started playing, I could hear about 3 different background parts. 2 on an acoustic and one with an electric in addition to what is there already.I hear little touches of influence in this one as well. At times, the lead melody almost has that "Tuesday's Gone" feel. Certainly not a bad thing. You might even want to consider adding some subtle analog key pans here and there to help fill the dead space. IMHOFrom an arrangement standpoint, I think you could push this one much further Dave. You sucked me in with the somber melody, but then put me to sleep. Give me more of a climax to what your guitar is saying. Show me more emotion. I don't necessarily mean to go all Van Halen or anything, but I would venture outside of the main melody some for both dynamic and dramatic purposes. You have a beautiful start here. In fact, if you are interested, I wouldn't mind working on this with you.I won't bother commenting on the production because I see this as a work in progress and have a good feeling you will be revisiting it in the future.I have an acoustic instrumental I've been hacking out that I would like to share with you and maybe possibly from there, we could talk about merging the two, or maybe swapping files and working on both of them together.Just let me know. Thanks for sharing Dave, but the one thing I missed the most on this tune, was that Gilmouresque voice you have sucked me in with previous offerings!

Hey Stephen. You woken up yet?Sorry about that! Thanks for the comments.Might be nice to do something together.Take it for a run, and see what you come up with.It really is an old tune that I dug out and wanted to do on acoustic, but like i said earlier, my old Fender sounds just terrible.I've got several tracks ready to record, but they're acoustic based, so I'm in limbo! Got another "Too many hearts" state of the world track, so you'll be hearing the old crooner again soon! There's a place a couple of hours away from me that does those Alvarez Yairi acoustics, so I plan to take a drive in the next couple of weeks.Cheers,Dave.

Looking forward to hearing something along the lines of your "Too Many Hearts." Didn't we just play that on AVRadio??!! (subliminal plug there, did you see that?)Man I would love to work on this. Shoot me your email in a PM and I will send you one I'm working on and maybe you can add to mine and I can add to yours. A trade! Oh and yes, I'm awake. 3 Red Bulls, 1 Rock Star, and 2 Cherry Cokes did the trick. Oh and YES! Check out that guitar I recommended to you months back! I promise an instant orgasm of fretboard loving proportions... ...without the mess of course.
