lovely, Wig:)i read though all the advice you were given and i agree:)i would also like to hear a bit more bottom end in this songi really feel that would help gel the song together..i hear somemid-lows on the right channel...but i think a bass instrumentwould work great in both channelsif i may, i would like to suggest giving a few of Bill Wren's tunes..he had some major cats arrange/produce his tunes..it could reallygive you a great reference how to handle arrangementsof instrumentals!peace, Wig!geoff

Update on CPU loading:Ya, I'm kinda slow...just realized tonight that some of the plugs I have use up horsepower even if the track is muted. I would have though otherwise, but nope, I loaded a blank template in and my activity meter on my UAD-1 card is already running at 25% load. I had created a template with all kinds of muted "just in case tracks" (including banjo ). Well, each and every call for EQ, compression, etc reserves horsepower in case you ever enable the track...pushing the project over the limit when a big plug is called. This obviously applies to any "just in case" routings I had on the buses as well. Turning off the individual power icons inside each track shut down the effect and freed up the processor.I only discovered it tonight when I loaded my system up to try and re-create Wig's dropout...and there it was too...loading one guitar-rig type of application put my system so far over, I was only getting every other second of audio coming out.I've never had dropouts...but still, this realization only took me 8 months to figure out. Thanks Wig!

Thanks Wig! Not sure what you're using, Devin, but I use Sonar 6 PE. A friend suggested that I "freeze" tracks instead of just muting them to remedy the problem.The track will still play, but it tells the program that no changes will be made to it. I've got to try that.When I get dropouts, I just hit save and reboot the file and if lets me work on it some more until it overloads again.My computer is a dual core quad processor with 3 gigs of RAM. I thought that would solve the problem, but it still happens.I guess I need a computer as big as a house. LOL Wig

Definitely an excellent track. As far as any critique, I'm with silvercord, a meaty bottom would add a lot of depth......But excellent melody and instrumentation.
