Hey, thanks for the nice words, Matt...yeah, it is probably how the vocalist sang the 'scrapping in bars' line, but it's something to ponder. Oooh, I loved Conway Twitty, so that's a compliment. LOL, Brinda...thank you. Devin, thanks for the encouraging words...yeah, 'match the listing' for this one is gonna be the hardest part. I'm glad all you folks like my hook. One morning, I got up early to attend church because I hadn't been a while. I'm not a regular church goer....I just attend sporadically. Anyway, I looked for my good shoes in the closet, and they were covered with dust...that's how long it'd been before I'd attended. I started wiping the dust off them and in a silly moment sang a melody while saying the words, "I wiped the dust off my good shoes." I thought, 'hell, there's a hook!" So I wrote the song later on. Thanks once again, guys!

hey, chits, great lyrics...very nice! wish i could listen to it, but my blasted computer won't let me. funny - when i read the title of your post, i thought you were saying "ala's" like "alas"...as in, "alas, i wiped the dust off my good shoes". i got a chuckle out of it when i realized you meant "a LA's". anyhoo, love it - nice, unique title really grabs you - good luck with it!erin

good song, girl! find out who your singer is - you should know that, it's important. as you start demo'ing more songs and want to use different demo singers, you'll need to know who sang which ones of your songs and who you'd want to use again.yeah, I thought you were saying "alas" too!Claire

Hey, thanks Erin and Claire...your nice words are much appreciated. Yeah, Erin...I probably need to edit my my 'a LA's" thingy, hehe....it does read like 'alas.' Claire, thanks for the tip...although I had this demo made a while back, I'm sure I could call the studio and get the name of the singer. Anyway, ladies, thanks again!
