Matt, the music sounds really good on this but on my 2.1 'puter system I can barely hear the vocals. Crank the crap out of 'em & repost!

Matt,Loved the guitar hook in the intro. I would use it a piece of it again later in the song as a recognizable hook. Be careful with the guitar fills in the area of "get some rain" - they need to say something or not be there at all. One way to help the chorus stand out is to kick out the background vocal. As long as we're talking donkeys and stuff I'd suggest "You can bet you're buck they're American made." Guitar solo is more the level you want to try to get the vocals to. I know how hard it is to do but this song is so cool you just gotta do it. I really miss hearing a bridge to give it that twist. As per previous post maybe use second half of chorus as summary and use "if you're building fence" as a bridge". Just a thought. Great song - don't quit this one until you hear it on the radio! This one might be worth the $20 taxi critique. Kitz

matt"and even dodge" Pretty funnyI really can relate to these lyrics.I agree, something major wrong with the vocals. Kinda sounds like when you have a loose connection you have to wiggle to make better contact?? Then poof the volume is there??I bet you drive a F-250 extended cab.laterPaulGet this puppy fixed soon, cause I like it.

Great feedback everyone! This just started out as a fun jam for us but as it develops im startin to feel it. Great ideas on the hook and bridge (kitz and mom). I figured this just to be a solo album cut but now im thinkin ill get serious about it and try yalls ideas. As for the vocals. while in remix # 2 tonight i noticed I had insert compressors on the vocal channels and also on the group channel and on the effect return. WOW!!! triple compression and all at 4:1 ratio. I was really tired last night and posted in haste.Feak, I drive an F-150 4wd off road!! Thats hilarious. great call. All excellent ideas thanks alot!!M~

Matt, first time I listen to one of your songs, and I LOVE this tune! LOVE the lyrics! Listen to the others about the techie stuff, Im dumb in that dept.

Matt, I really like this song...it has a Marshall Tucker, Eagles 70 ish vibe to me, and that's a good thing 'coz commercial country (if you wanna go that way) seems to be going that way lately...it has a nice retro feel to it. However, I'm in agreement on your vocals, I can't hear them well...if you got that fixed, this is a real keeper. I like the lyrics too..you pen some good ones.
