Warren and William (the two W's), this is a great song....I love your quirky lyrics, Warren...you know how much too. Really good production too, William! You folks really did a great job, although my one concern is that William's vocals sounded just a bit fuzzy in a few places, but then again, my laptop speaker could be to blame. Other than that, I'm proud of you guys for this one!

thanks for the listens bill and vicky, i hear your points and respect you both greatly--bill--there are indeed a zillion things that might be done with this, but i've chosen so far to leave it pretty minimalist, but appreciate the comments and get them! thank you.vicky--i appreciate you visiting the tune! know you are busy...and yep, those words do rhyme (LOL), however in the context of the entire tune, the home and alone just had to be the rhymes, cliche or not...thank you'all for listening!!warren

This is freakin cool! The lyrics are definately left of center. I like the imperfect rhyme and the slight cliche. For me the vocal is a bit loud. I think this style should have the vocals mixed a little more evenly. You know those songs where you can just almost make out the lyric and you sing along only to find out later that what your singing isnt what the lyrics are saying at all. Just my personal preference.Excellent work overall. 9.825/10

Hey Kids,OK I already posted once last night but it's gone now! Damn I must have pushed the wrong button.Anyway, you two make a very cool combination. I could see this being just right for Halloween (in an Alfred Hitchcock sorta way) with a few lyric changes.Yeah, OK a little chorus lift could be in order, but isn't that always the case for all of us???Keep 'em rollin'... (or is that "keep rolling 'em'?) Cam

hey thanks cam, and again congrats on the high bar forward for c/w--we all should be so talented my friend...and matt--you are spot on, spot on my friend.....i told willy in my crappy non-musician way to even it out, and he actually did ALLOT to do that, and we both decided to push "PLAY". his vocal style is so damn cool, we rolled with the uneven sound on purpose,....and hell, we might decide to do something more "typical", and still can my friend. we've posted this for the response, and truthfully, i'm a bit disappointed at the "haunting" "halloween" comments, as it's a very serious tune, but i certainly get it....it's just hell, when you hear raydeeoh nowadays and the chorus by the great john mayer is "say, say,etc...and say.." and "you tickle my nose" crap, well, i dont quite expect this to "compete" with that greatness--LOL's.....but i REALLY APPRECIATE your words....and chits--YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!!! LOLs....thank you for again commenting on the tune. you always seem to "get it", but hell, if i pay 1/2 your salary, will you forward a couple of my tunes??? love you ma'am...all the best to you, warren

I especially like the part about "freaky musicians" Cam

thanks cam! you and william are too kind. i'm doing my best, but it seems reality just might be setting in. after the rally, i will assess realistically if there's any place for my music--it just isn't taxi, and maybe "today's scene" just has zero to offer...maybe on one of jupiter's moons...see you soon--still want to buy you a beer my friend!all the best, warren

Cool tune guys!!! Will... what do you prefer... wta? Anyway great vocal job.... bit retro Seattle grung stlye to my ear... but I like it... I would go with a full production... I think the chorus would stand out more ... though Warren my friend.... maybe repeat the hook a second time after the chorus .... I would prefer the tonight to be held longer but that's more a personal thing...Good job guys...Geo

Amp, you can call me Will, William, wta just don't call me late for submissions! With a tune like this the sky it really the limit but at the same time to keep it as minimal is VERY tricky. I'm diggin all the ideas shared here and say that they all could work. I'm liking the 9.825/10 from Mattman and thinking if she ain't broke... I'm hearing this tune as the backdrop for film/tv scene where some bad guy (who's trying to be a good guy but screwing it up bad) is trying to get his girl back or something on that line. Something that has a dark theme but looking for a glimer of light... Though I hear that there could be MORE of a defining factor between the verses and chorus I have to say that the guitar patterns and progression are very much different and the vocals do change more or less as well but I do totally agree that more could be done FOR SURE I still have to say in my ears this song still as is stands on it own. Now just to qualify that statement I'm no big time song producer so bottom line, what the hell do I know! Serious, I feel so blessed just to be working on the tune so by know means would I even try to imply that just cause I've got a thought that thats the be all and end all... I can't even hold a candle to so many on this site so that's why I'm always talking bout your feedback being qualified and SO HELPFUL!!! '-) wta

geo my friend, thanks for the comments, so many have been damned good. let's see where it flys for now, as william (and don't call him late for dinner,OR long distance either...LOL) said, and damned if we don't agree perhaps too much on this and other stuff, i hear this in a film/tv thing too...but i tell you, this guy at the drop of a friggin' hat (not me, THAT guy, the wta guy...) could pretty much whip up whatever, and don't let him fool you, he produces just fine--hell if anything i held him back a bit. in the end we have to sometimes stick with what we think the essence of the tune is. damned the torpedoes (and screeners...LOL)thanks again all for the words, i really appreciate them, and i know willie, will, william, and wta appreciates it too--the best,wh
