First try at an instrumental *remix*+ new tune!!

Post by geo » Thu Oct 16, 2008 8:52 pm

Hi guys.... thought I'd finally wade into the waters.... cut down one of my tracks for a couple of possible listings... first try here... all comments/suggestions welcomed...Peace, GeoIs this Life?http://www.taximusic.com/download/17849 ... ..mp3Maybe I'll JamGeo 08http://www.taximusic.com/download/178168/Maybe ... T-SOUNDING, RADIO READY AAA/ALT ROCK/INDIE POP INSTRUMENTALS in the range of Editors, Arctic Monkeys, Dirty Pretty Things, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party, Cold War Kids, The Libertines, Babyshambles, The Strokes, Muse, etc. are wanted by a very successful Production Music Library who has placements with ABC, CBS, NBC, WB, Disney, Discovery, Lifetime, Fox, USA, etc. (to name just a few). They want songs that build and grow, with melodic and dynamic variation. You may consider editing down a full-length song in order to avoid long sections of repetition, since this company NEEDS to have tracks that are changing & building constantly. You can submit tracks that range between 1-4 minutes in length and be sure there are NO VOCALS on these tracks. They want material that sounds like it could be on the radio, but will only be interested in Instrumental versions for this listing. Broadcast quality is necessary, though excellent home recordings should be fine. Please submit 1-3 Instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than October 29, 2008. TAXI # Y081029AR

geoJust typed a few paragraphs, hit tab instead of backspace and wiped it all away. Forgot what I said Early here, I get going at five. (go to bed at nine:) Funny thing me doing grunge and you trying an instrumental. Why not?Snappy little tune ya made. Like what happens at 1:05 to 1:25.Thanks for the idea. Not this listing, but my next endeavor could be an instrumental. Love playing my guitars.I know, this thread is about your song. I hope it will fly for ya.Paul

Hey there!So.... I think musically you're on target for this listing, but I would watch your compression settings.... seems to me that the bass and kick (though all the drums are effected) hold the most compression, and the piano at the beginning is lacking a little feel. Evening it out will help tremendously IMO.Cheers!

Hay Geo I missed the bottem one just had a listen and, wow top stuff !loved the changes in this one. I would say this composition has a very modern punk/emo feel to me.
