thrills & chills...
I had fun creating this... I'm just wondering... are the sound effects overdone... or do they come together in a wierd sort of "music"?http://www.vikkiflawith.com/audio/VIKKI ... R/SUSPENSE INSTRUMENTALS are needed immediately by the Executive Producer and Music Supervisor for an Indie Horror Film set to be released in the next month. They’re in urgent need of some great instrumentals that sound terrifying, nerve-wracking, intense, suspenseful, etc. They’re open to all styles and approaches, but will be especially interested in the climactic build from suspense/tension to horrific momentum. Instrumentation is open, but try to keep these between 1:00-3:00 in length. Feel free to include “freaky” sound effects, as long as they’re tastefully mixed into the rest of the instrumentation - so as not to interfere with the natural sounds of the scene. This film is set in a remote cabin, with a group of twenty-somethings battling for their lives - there will be a good amount of “stabbing” and “chasing through the woods” scenes, to give you a hint of the storyline and tone. Performances need to be excellent and the recordings should definitely be Broadcast Quality (great home recordings should be fine).

Hi HB...Excellent track as always!!!I don't submit here so this is just my impression reading the sub and listening....There are two things I might consider.....They’re open to all styles and approaches, but will be especially interested in the climactic build from suspense/tension to horrific momentum. The track is oozing suspense but I didn't get a transition to horrific .... change of feel... upping the intensity... felt the track more built steadily..........so as not to interfere with the natural sounds of the scene. This film is set in a remote cabin, with a group of twenty-somethings battling for their lives - there will be a good amount of “stabbing” and “chasing through the woods” ....The music gives a more industrial feel..... it would be perfect in a movie like SAW but here it might be too un-natural for a scene in the woods....Then again who knows what direction the other music in the film has taken ? Wow... lot to consider doing these...Good luck... it's a great piece....Peace, Geo

vikAs hard for me to comment on your instrumental work as you to on my wierd guitar stuff:)I know this is good. It doesn't get going very well until about 40 sec. I do know it is supposed to gradually build.Anyhoo, I liked it.Paul

I think this is good Vikki. The fx sound tasteful to me. Geez . . . over in the left channel it sounded like somebody was sharpening some knives . . . Yikes!

well vicky-another nice effort. if this is for the movie as described, with chasing, stabbing, etc. this is the ticket! i agree that i do not hear the "climactic build" , but hell it has an evenly dispersed amount of fx and sounds that fit the rest of the listing's requirements, IMHO. i LOVE the fx, balance is quite good, but might be concerned at the lack of more mainstream instrumentation, but i don't think they are overdone, just perhaps more "music." if that makes any sense.i think it does work though, good jobwarren

Vikki...Good work and cool sounds....I think you have the suspenseful vibe, but are lacking in the "build to horror"...overall I think they're looking for a huge crescendo thru the piece.......the sound effects don't seem over done to me...One thought is...(I don't know how you did your sounds)....the voice and breath can be very creepy and scary....adding these sounds could be a super fun way for you to move this to horror....good luck, hope this helps, vtbp
