"Ground" - kind of scary..

Post by petez » Sat Oct 04, 2008 8:16 pm

Here's my latest ambient piece called "Ground". This is like experiment to me as I'm trying to tear away from 'four-to-the-floor' music.. It's a kind of scary and dark piece, but I would like to hear your opinions and what kind of listings this would suit into if any?Get it here:http://petrisuhonen.com/music/Petri_Suh ... Ground.mp3

Hey Petez!Nice piece for suspense and horror listings IMO... also could work for sci-fi tv/film listings. I liked it!

Excellent work! You created a real nightmarish atmosphere with a variety of textures and interesting orchestrations. I usually have reservations about "scary" music that has a discernible 4/4 beat (to me it often feels corny), but you managed to keep the integrity of the music intact. Definitely usable for scary, horror, suspense, and mystery listings.Richard

Gorgeous, I think I'd like to have that played at my next wedding! No, seriously, it's got a really cool dark atmosphere. Nice sounds and effects. I think you could shorten it if you wanted and it wouldn't lose anything.Elser

Wow! So much positive comments! Thank you all! When I was composing this and listening it after I realized there's a whole WORLD of new possibilities with this kind of music compared to traditional 4-to-the-floor. It was a kind of eye opener ..

There is a dispatch listing for horror tracks this would be good for. I think the deadline is Thurs.
