Jay,Kudos for a hard ass effort on a tough music style!!! I can tell all the work you put into this. While it may not fit the bill, Be proud of your efforts. Its too easy to get complacent and go back to our "go to styles". Id be terrified to try something like this. Hope you enjoyed that Brew!!M~

To bad I can't cut the mustard on Horn Latin Pieces.Every time I do one and post, the forum just cuts them to ribbons.I pick out the most authentic sounds, and in my ear they sound so realistic that I'm jumping up and down. But when I post It most say ,not good patches..Go figure..I noticed u didn't comment on the song, so I'll post it for u and u tell me what u thing....Be tough..thanks for listening ...JAY....http://www.taximusic.com/download/17252 ... tal.mp3The song is really nice (LOVE the B3 and the pianos), but yeah, the horn sound isn't quite right. I'm always impressed with people who can get synthesized horns or sax sounding right 'cause I can never do it. I don't even try anymore so kudos for even going there.I'd like to hear it with a real horn. Also the Rhodes solo is too loud in the mix me thinks. Maybe the acoustic piano background parts could come down a bit too, but I'd have to hear it both ways to be sure on the latter. I know this style is busy by nature, but it sounds like the instruments are competing a bit too much and lowering the piano might lessen that.Don't give up on it though as this is a really nice tune. A hell of a lot better than I could have done, that's for sure.Cam

Hey R-Man - Well done you! PLEASE don't give up on this, I wanna see you succeed and you are close. For me, when it hit 1:04 THAT was the latino sound right there. I personally didn't like the organ and what in my mind is jazz improv on the organ/piano sounds... took it out of the genre - but it's not a genre I know well at all, I hasten to add. It's definately worth working on, I'd say. Look forward to hearing the next version.... Georgie
