Action/Adventure Listing- Does this match?

Post by weslong » Tue Sep 30, 2008 1:51 pm

Just wonder if this song would go with this listing?http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... NTURE/HIGH OCTANE INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a UK-based Production Music Library for Film/TV placement opportunities. They need really high energy tracks (no vocals) for car chase scenes, sports highlights, high suspense action/thrill footage, etc. Current sounding styles would be the best choice here: Rock/Electronica/Hard Rock/etc. A blend of orchestral instrumentation with the mentioned stylistic approaches might also be a great direction to take. They'll be looking for tracks that don't sound overly synth generated - authentic, pulsing and exciting! Your track should be within 1:00-3:00 and they'll mostly want to hear mid to uptempo tracks. They offer non-exclusive, 50/50 deals. Broadcast quality needed (great sounding home recordings are OK). Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than October 10, 2008. TAXI # S081010IN

Hey there...Sounds good....It may not be hard-hitting enough for this listing....I think the string sounds are working against you ...they're too smooth....and not rhythmically in the pocket....Also the bass sound is not big enough or carrying much low end...Over all...needs pulse....especially because you're a little slow for octane...IMHO..good luck,Hope this helps a little, vtbp

i don't think this song is in line with what the listing is asking for.i'm thinking something from the movie "Gone In 60 Seconds" would be more of what they're looking for.that's my .02

Bad news -- this is a good piece but... in what way do you think it matches these phrases: "really high energy"; "high suspense/action thrills"; "authentic, pulsing, exciting"; "they'll mostly want to hear uptempo tracks"....... just a note for the future too, it's recommended you don't use fade outs if you are submitting for film/tv. they prefer a crisp ending.Good news -- you still have time to write something kickass for this listing. Let me know when you post it HTHcheersHummin'bird
