music genre

Post by rsilva » Mon Sep 29, 2008 5:47 am

Hey guys, If anybody has some time would you mind going to my site, listening to a few tunes and simply let me know what music genre you think those tunes might fall under. Would it be just simply Instrumentals, Rock, Blues, or New Age...whatever...if it’s possible to stamp a general term to them that would be excellent. It may sound a little lame but pinning down a music genre has always been one of my major difficulties. You can either go to my taxi sitehttp://www.taximusic.com/hosting/home.php?artist=ricksilvaOr myspace sitewww.myspace.com/shantylullabyThanks so much Rick

Rick... Some pretty good stuff here. I think what's important here is to figure out which listings you would probably have the greatest percentage of hits.In that light, you should be looking at instrumentals and tv/film listings primarily... though some of your tunes have distinctive ethnic motifs/instrumentation... so there are other options besides those two. But again, that's where the meat of your searches will be located. I don't think you need to distinguish your actual style -- so Instrumental might be the best way to go.Hope that helps

HI RICK.....Very nice tracks....I have to agree with Zoom here and the the good thing about your material is that there are a lot of acoustic guitar listing popping up all the time..Just watch for them and I'm sure u can fit something in on one of those listings ..Good Luck....jay.......
