Warren Like I have told you before I love this song. The picture you paint puts you right there at the trailer in a wooded area on a stormy night being privy to the conversation. Very visual song. You did good. mild BillPS Go Cowboys

Re: new tune--trying to load again
Warren,It opens for me OK now. You crack me up buddy. I love the fact that you do whatever the hell you want instead of writing c/w songs that sound like they were written by a committee (like most of the stuff you hear on the radio). I like the tune a lot, and the serious melody with the tarp lyrics make it kind of a c/w parody. Don't know if you ever heard of Gurf Morlix (gurfmorlix.com-- whose songs include "I'm gonna have to sleep with your sister"-- actually just called "Your Sister") but somehow you remind me of him. I don't see much chance of conventional country acceptance (but who knows??) but hell, there's this great station in Dallas (www.khyi.com) that plays all kinds of great stuff, including Gurf, and I bet they would play this too.The vocalist, Mike Kelley, is the same guy I used on Rather Be Lucky Than Good. He does nice work here too.Not sure if everyone else will get the humor, but it works for me.Cam

Re: new tune--trying to load again
thanks cam (and bill, again, mr. texas GO 49ers, 20 years ago...you must be a computer nerd in disguise, i'll try that idea...when i get it posted on 'jam...)yeah cam, thanks for the compliment. LOL! actually though the tune was written as a serious one, hell people do live in trailers, and i risked some thinking i was trashing the trailer folks, and trying to parady some c/w tunes, when not at all (well, not mostly anyway.)yeah, i was happy with Kelley, didn't know he was the singer on yours. it came out a bit on the "young" sounding side, but is ok for now. thank you much for listening.it 5 am here and i'm gunna try to fix whatever the friggin problem is i'm having...glad SOMEBODY heard it, and responded--hey, and cool info on khyi, i'll look into them! all the best, warren

WarrenYou are the busy one dude.Really like the tune. Excellent productionWithout the strings it has a slight Eagles sound.I like the progression down after the words "on time"Great singer. No excess verb. My favorite is:"You never looked so lovelyIt's never felt so right"Nobody else writes/produces like you.As you would say, "all the best"Paul

Re: new tune--trying to load again
pablo and runner--thank you much for the kind words--ALWAYS appreciated! yes, though i picked the singer and worked closer than ever with the producer (and have learned you REALLY need to do that with demos, even non-master quality--) this demo was well done by jimi and the entire crew in nashville. without being there myself (i can't play, but i can definitely tell somebody what i want--LOL!, it's the next best thing. so as i said, anything one doesn't like, is truly my own damned fault, spent allot of phone time with them and i'm happy with what i told them to do--but we learn more and more, no?thanks again for your encouragement guys, warren
