jingle..jingles on a wall/took bomb, they did fall

R-man learns valuble lesson.... ;) Don't wander to far from your money makers...meaning the stuff that gets u forwards.. Tried the Pharmicutical jingle road and it took me to..(2) Jingles....(2) bombs...... :-[ I really thought I was on the mark here... .Oh well....I'll just go back to one of my GREAT forum teachers who said...Forget about it, and move on to the next song... Jay....... http://www.taximusic.com/download/15674 ... p3ACOUSTIC GUITAR INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a great Production Music Library/Publisher that has signed tons of TAXI members over the years, and has made money for many of them. They're looking for fairly basic tracks that can be JUST one guitar or a combination of guitar and a couple of other instruments. Think of light, breezy tracks that would be good for TV spots for pharmaceuticals, feminine products, E.D. (yes guys, little blue pills) products, insurance and other innocuous, inoffensive products that are foisted upon you every day. Tracks should ideally run between :60 and 3 minutes in length, and be easily edited into :30s and shorter, with buttoned endings preferred. Broadcast quality is necessary - excellent home recordings should be just fine. Their deal is typically an exclusive agreement with a 5-year reversion clause. Please submit one to three tracks online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than August 15, 2008. Yeah J-Man, they sound great! Only thing that MAY be killin' ya' is the MIDI acoustic guitar sound. I say MAY be killin' ya' because I've seen in one case where a MIDI acoustic guitar sound was accepted, but that was by the client. I suppose that would have been the case here too, if they'd been accepted. Possible maybe the opposite happened, and the client was opposed to MIDI sounding guitars...Who knows? If it's any consolation, I bombed on this too! We'll keep at it though.I-468

The only suggestions I'd have would be to lower the guitar in the mix. It's competing way too much with the melody. And, related to the "midi" comment, it would be nice if you could find a way to make the guitar part more flowing and less rigid. That can be tough with a programmed guitar part, but if you can do it, I think you'd increase the marketability quite a lot. Good luck!Richard

Hey R-man,Nice melodies, especially Sunny Day. Both of them reminded me a little of a theme song for a TV series like maybe "The Odd Couple" or even "Taxi".Cameron
