Bill, seriously, you have the best sounding rock drums, and they're so consistant in your tunes, it must be nice to have your drums so dialed in.so, two production questions:1. what do you use for drums (i know you've been asked this many times, but i can't remember)2. what amp(s) are you using? (don't tell me it's a pod)your production skillz are mad!i enjoyed both tunes.marc

hey billy--i was a little escared as the verse is so much like refugee--however, then i read what they wanted, AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT YOU GAVE 'EM! damn right, we've been saying dylan and petty for a long time now. but hell, that's your voice, screw 'em. you're moving man, you have too many tunes that musically don't sound like "them" that is fantastic, we should all be so good. damn i keep reckining back to half past 3...a toast to piss and formaldahyde!the best,wh

BIll,The first thing I thought was this aint a typical BillG tune. I really like the feel. Ive thought you had the Petty sound since I first heard your songs. I listen to them alot and your site is in my favs. Zoom nailed the production ideas but your productions are always very impressive to me. This just needs to be tweaked.Great song.M

The Petty soundalike thing is way cool man. I love the "cradle to the grave" bridge.KILLER writing and playing. Incredible how you changed the melody just enough to not sound copycat like.IM NOT WORTHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! M

Thanks Matt. I re-did the vocals yesterday & tried to tweak the mix but I titally screwed it up, gonna start from scratch on it I think.Appreciate the comments on the Petty soundalike. I've got a sneaky feeling it's gonna be considered to close for comfort . . . we'll see. If I don't hear anything that's what I'm going to assume was the problem.

tweaked version is up w/new vox. Followed your advice zoom, also messed with the guitar sound Dave. I may still do another vocal track, after some drinks & late at night. This one was a morning track . . . I HATE singing in the morning.http://www.billgaunce.com/song/6
