Is This Right For This Listing?
I'm not sure. Anyway, here it is:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=true New Listing CURRENT-SOUNDING ACOUSTIC GUITAR/PIANO INSTRUMENTALS are needed immediately by a Music Licensing company run by a veteran of the industry, for various Film/TV placements. A current sound is requested and a primarily solo/acoustic sound is what is most needed here. It’s okay if there are a few background instruments in the mix, as long as the main focus is on the acoustic instrument that’s featured. A variety of moods will be considered, as they’ll be looking for tracks that are appropriate for dramatic Film/TV scenes as well as light/happy/comedic scenes. They’ll also be interested in some that are heart-warming/inspirational/romantic. All tempos will be considered, but ballads to mid tempo will be most desirable for this one. Instrumentation is open - just be sure the sound is simple, acoustic and not overbearing or imposing dynamically. Your tracks need to be 2-5 minutes long and be of the highest quality - they’re looking for exceptional instrumentals and performances. Broadcast quality is absolutely essential. They offer a non-exclusive deal where all profits are split 50/50 between the company and the writer (you keep your copyrights). Please submit 1-3 instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than 10am PST on Tuesday, September 16, 2008. TAXI #D080916IN

Hey Wes,I would say no, although it's impossible to be sure.My feeling from the listing is they want something much more sparse.Quote:just be sure the sound is simple, acoustic and not overbearing or imposing dynamicallyYour inclusion of an organ might be enough to disqualify you plus the drum track seems a bit too busy for this...but I'm just guessing. Good luck whatever you do.

TAXI #D080916INIt has a piano but the piano is only one of many instruments. It opens with a drum beat, integrating an electronic organ, etc. Plus the solo would eliminate it from all but just a few placement opportunities. Plus think "emotion"... what emotion does your track portray? Something that's obviously "sad", obviously "happy", obviously "inspirational" but on the mellower side of things for any of these, that's probably what they're looking for. Based on your track though, you'd have no problem doing one that fit the bill.Check out this track from Roadrunner422...http://www.taximusic.com/download/16811 ... ix.mp3This is just my opinion but for the description of this listing, this track is right down the line. Even though they're in the background, I think it has about as much "other instruments" as this listing will tolerate. Anything that has more "other instrruments" would probably have a hard time getting through. But I think it's what the listing is looking for overall.Anyway, hope that helps,Dave

Re: Is This Right For This Listing?
Thanks guys,I think I understand now. Basically, it would be safer to do something with no background instruments and keep it minimal. Cool. Maybe I'll pass on this listing. Always new listings to look forward to that I might be more apt to get right. This isn't really my niche anyway.
