Hey revnet!!After listening, I'd have to agree with the others. I've got a feeling exactly what this listing is calling for (I've got a tune specifically written for such a listing, but need ta' re-work it) and I don't quite think you're on target with this one. First off, I don't think the energy level is there for this particular listing. Secondly, this listing calls for instrumentals. I wouldn't submit a tune that had vocals in it, when the listing specifically mentions "instrumentals", although the a las may incorporate vocals in their tunes. But I think the lister is thinking "type of music/sound" he/she would like ta' hear minus the vocals. At least that's how I'm interpreting it. For me, the key thing to look at in a listing, is whether it calls out for instrumentals, specifically (which this one clearly does) or whether it calls out for lyrics (which it mentions nothing about), or if it mentions both (sometimes that happens). Gotta be careful how you read into these listings. I would say, think high energy Joe Satriani all the way (not familiar with Avril or Blink) and you'll probably be O.K. I could be wrong, but you'll probably get the big [R] if ya' submit this piece. Just my $.02. I-468

Revnet, I think the song is right on for the listing just my opinion for what that is worth. The sound quality of your recordings are really good (I heard the song u linked before by mistake and it also was great and great recording). Everything sounds so upfront and the mix is really good. Can I ask u what u r using such as DAW (cubase, sonar), mic pre's, mics, AD/DA converters, guitar mic, etc.? I would really appreciate the info.I am so curious and in awe of how some people are getting their sound which some are superb like yours. bluesgirl

Although, they often use more aggressive tracks, this is not at all out of the realm of possibility for this application. Within the backing tracks of extreme sports videos, you will see some variety. This track has an excellent repetitive, "traveling", "sounds great behind a sports scene" feel. Close your eyes and visualize downhill skiing, snowboarding, racing, etc. while listening. It also comes out of the gate VERY well in those crucial first 30 seconds. That makes so much difference. The listener will be at the meat instantly. Many people make the mistake of not getting aggressive until 10, 15, or 30 seconds in and, 90% of the time, it will be turned off before they ever hear that part.I can't say that THIS library, in this instance, will want this, but I have had small (web-videos, etc) placements in sports videos with less aggressive music. I think this one has a decent shot and I would definitely invest the 5 bucks. Go for it!! Casey

I'm almost embarrassed to admit to the equipment I'm using based on some of the posts I've read in other forums. It's pretty basic stuff. I'm running a free copy of Samplitude that came with the magazine Computer Music on the cheapest eMachine I could get. My interface is an old Tascam US-224. I use Line 6 POD's for my guitars and a Sans Amp Bass Driver by Tech 21 for bass. Drums are either samples from the Computer Music magazine through their VST sampler (DS404) or some other loops I've purchased (Drums on Demand / Beta Monkey). I have one decent tube vocal mic. It's made by Carvin. Can't remember the model number. I've got a bunch of other outboard gear that I pretty much never use.Jim

Congrats to ya'! Glad ya' got the right song posted. Mine bombed! Shows ya' how much I know! Just when you think you're on target, you're not, and when you think you're not, you are! Gotta remember how that works. Anyhow, here's to the deal dude!I-468
