This was a dispatch listing for an indie label, and i'm glad the 5 songs i submited were forwarded (it's too bad there was no critique...=)). Here's the listing:INDIE ROCK BANDS/ARTISTS in the wide range of Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, etc. are sought by an Indie Label with great distribution. Songs must have a commercial appeal while keeping the Indie vibe. A unique, marketable image is mandatory. Vocal and instrumental demo presentation must be top-notch! Please submit two to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics/photo/bio. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than 4:00pm (PST) on Friday, August 14, 2009. thanks=) Well, i've listened to the artists of this label, and i'm quite surprised. My music doesn't fit at all with their catalogue=) I don't really understand those forwards, or maybe the label wants to change its style radically... I can already imagine their reaction when they'll put their ears on the cd (if they do so...): "what the hell is that !??" lol
