Re: Not sure on genre
This song would play well on Later with Jools assuming you have a band. Great snare!I listened to it four times. How about a bigger bite for your good friends here at taxi or is it a two minute song?

I'm not so sure what the difference is between indie-pop and alt-rock myself. Post-folk, anyone?I hear the Cake, Jack Johnson... and Chili Peppers too.... would also head to the indie pop side of things. When I think of the difference between indie pop and alt rock... the questions I ask are -- how many electric guitars you got on that track? What's the tempo and the vibe? The angrier/heavier it gets, the more I swing to rock. Yeah... I admit it... it's kind of a messed up way to look at the world.

hi again dom, good chatting with you the other night/morning??? i think what's said above is right on, SS for sure, but i'd submit to several other genres, just look at the "ala"s and let 'er fly--as long as the $5 bills hold out. the best to you!warren

Re: Not sure on genre
belated thanks to zoom and warren again! have had a lot of stuff going on in the "real world" and havent had a chance to check back here for a few weeks! I agree with the rock thing zoom! I had never really seen myself as rock in any way.. I have a few other songs that are pretty rock but overall not so.... until I went to get my album mastered. My Mastering Engineer, his boss (another engineer) and i were having a chat and he asked what genre my album was, I was gonna say singer songwriter stuff, but before I could my engineer said acoustic rock. It made me look at my music differently and made me more confused too! but once again thanks!

Hi danke Ist time talking to you went and listened to some of your other music great stuff. I think your engineer hit the nail on the head and I would concur Acoustic Rock all the way. mB
