S080201LAA range of great LATIN MUSIC INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) are needed by a U.K.-based Music Library/Publishing Co. for TV placement. This company ran numerous TAXI listings in 2006 (and signed many TAXI songs) and is now in need of more great material as their service has become very much in demand. Traditional and contemporary styles are OK. Music from South America is especially sought for this listing (Brazilian, Peruvian, etc.). They don't want tracks that sound like they were obviously MIDI generated - authenticity and great performances are the keys. Both instrumentals with lead melody lines and basic backing tracks that serve as "soundbeds" are OK - they want both. All tempos are OK. Track length should be in the 1:00 - 3:00 range. At this point they work mostly with prominent U.K. TV channels such as the BBC and ITV, but also supply music to other production companies that broadcast worldwide. Congratulations brindabella! I heard the track, nice work. The screener is probably right but I found the drums, while being obviously mechanical, were not distracting and that's probably why this got forwarded. Hey girl!Great stuff!! There is a movie that track REALLY reminds me of (in a good way) but I can't put my finger on it. I didn't think the drums were that midi at all...in fact I wouldn't have pulled it out of the hat as being an issue at all if I hadn't been listening for it.All in all I loved it! brindabella.Congrats on the forward. EZ Drummer will give you more drum sounds to work with, especially if you add some expansion packs. I use the Nashville expansion a lot, brushes and sticks and overall great drum sounds--- I don't use it for country, I don't write in that genre.I think the sounds you used on your track sound fine, it's more in the programming of the drum track. A drummer will add slight variations to the bass drum pattern, snare drum pattern and usually change from hi hat to ride cymabal to build energy (on the second A section or certainly on a bridge or chorus)That will be one of the other advantage for you with EZ Drummer---lots and lots of patterns that feel good, as well as fills and depending on the expansion pack--intros, endings, verse and chorus patterns within one style.Hearing how the drummers of these patterns approach things will have an effect on you when you put together your own pattern.Good luck with the track.ChuckBTW congrats on licking the piano issue, on to the drums!!!

Very cool!I agree, EZDrummer will give you a bit more air of realism.I think they might be talking about velocity here. Seems like every hit is the same velocity and not a lot of variation.Congrats!

Brindabella! Congrats! Very nice tune.I use ezDrummer...and yes, it is a good program to have. Just to show what you can do with it, the conga solo on "Esperando (Waiting)" was generated (with a fair amount of slicing/dicing) with it. I like the fact that it has a large library of conga "fills", which can be dropped into a track as midi clips, and then modified. IF you know what you're doing, you can make some VERY credible tracks with it. I also use DrumCore (www.drumcore.com), Drums on Demand (www.drumsondemand.com) and Latin Groove Factory (www.quparts.com). There are many other tools on the market, but I've had a fair amount of success with these. Frank V.
