an artist pitch forward

Post by scottyrock » Mon Aug 10, 2009 8:50 pm

just got news that my song "what are you waiting for" was forwarded to this artist pitchHOT ADULT CONTEMPORARY POP SONGS are sought by the Producers of a new young artist in her early twenties. They have given Alicia Keys' "Fallin", Sara Barielles' "Gravity" and Erykah Badu's acoustic pop side as stylistic references for you to go by. They want to hear songs with positive and uplifting messages but ask that you avoid anything too preachy or cheesy sounding. Most importantly, the songs should have a commercial, pop feel with well-crafted, cohesive lyrics that also have a strong emotional impact. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Friday, July 31, 2009. Great job. Like Adrienne said, it's tough to get artist forwards. The song is well crafted, I can see why it got forwarded.

I agree! Great job! I think it's a great idea to keep it simple (instrumentation) and have a high quality production as you have. Well done! CONGRATS!!
